Learn more about our fees and payment options here.
We strive everyday to make our care available to as many people as possible by offering them options when is comes to the cost of care. Listed below are a few of those options.
Self Pay
Cash is a term to describe a type of payment schedule not necessarily the form of payment. Cash patients generally pay for services at the time or before they receive them and in return receive a discounted rate. These payments do not have to be paid with cash to apply to you. Acceptable forms of payment include: personal check, Visa/MasterCard/Discover, money order, and of course cash. We diligently try to keep this rate low enough that those without insurance, those with insurance but little or no chiropractic coverage, and those with high deductible insurance can still gain access to care. Please call to be quoted the current self pay rate.
Insurance
We are happy to submit claims to your health or auto insurance company for payment as a service free of charge. We will also make a detailed check of your insurance coverage at the beginning of care in order to counsel you on your options. We also recommend you check you coverage as well anytime there are changes to you policy. We also do our best to make sure we are In Network providers for as many health insurance companies as possible. If we are not In Network we will check with your carrier to see what Out of Network benefits your policy has.
In todays changing insurance landscape we recommend checking with your insurance carrier to see if Dr. Johnson is IN or OUT of network with your plan in order to be sure of coverage.. The doctor is listed as:
Raymon T Johnson , D.C.
Medicare
If you have standard Medicare coverage it will cover your chiropractic adjustments at a portion of their allowable charges. This means you will have a co-insurance of between $5 and $8 dollars. Medicare does not pay for the initial evaluation and any X-rays that we take even though these are requirements for care under Medicare. If you have a secondary they may or may not pick up the remaining portion depending on the plan. It may be necessary to check with your secondary to confirm what they will pay. If you have a Medicare plan that required you to turn over your benefits to a third party (like SCAN or Secure Horizons) it is up to that specific company whether they will pay for chiropractic care. We are of course happy to help you navigate the process and facilitate you getting the care you need when you need it. We love our Medicare patients and continue to take them on as other doctors continually drop out as preferred providers because the compensation is less than other insurances. We know the process can seem complex, but we have a skilled staff that will do their best to make it an easy process for you.
Tri-Care
Tri-Care is the insurance for members of the Military and their families. At this time Tri-Care does not cover chiropractic. Because of this fact, and our desire to show our appreciation to the members of the armed forces, we have a special that we extend just to active duty members of the military and their families. This includes the initial evaluation and xrays for $55 and follow up treatments for $30. We find this has allowed us to treat many of our neighbors from Camp Pendleton and beyond.
