Ookii Co is a full service athlete management and marketing firm located in San Clemente. President Carl Harris is a client of Dr. Johnson’s as are the world class athletes he works with. Carl himself experienced constant back problems for over 15 year. He says, “I tried every stupid gimmick on the planet before a neighbor recommended me to Dr. Johnson. My back would go out at least once every six months to the point where I was in the hospital for three straight days. I was hesitant to try a chiropractor but I was desperate for relief.” Since being treated by Dr. Johnson, Carl has gone nearly a year without any pain or problems. “My back has not gone out since I began seeing Dr. Johnson. I feel 100% better.”

Carl’s company, Ookii Co Athletic Management and Marketing, represents Kazu Kokubo, a snowboarding superstar since he was 13. Kazu represented Japan in the 2006 Olympics and then again in 2010. “Kazu is one of the most fit people I’ve ever met in my life in pro and action sports,” says Carl. “He’s highly regimented. Due to the nature of what he does, it takes a heavy toll on his back. Imagine jumping over 100 feet in the air and landing on your feet over and over.” Years of constant impact had created a chronic problem. As part of the company’s sports support system, Carl took Kazu to see Dr. Johnson for a check-up as soon as he came on board.
“Dr. Johnson works with our athletes to keep them flexible and healthy, whether the need arises from a traumatic experience like a crash or a chronic problem building up over time.” In Kazu’s case, Dr. Johnson was the first person he saw after a serious car accident last December. His car rolled six times, and Kazu was lucky to walk away alive. Through Dr. Johnson, Kazu had a series of treatments relative to his neck that allowed him to go back to Japan pain free with total neck movement in just three days.
Says Carl, “I always recommend Dr. Johnson to anyone that I see wincing or uncomfortable. He is the absolute best at what he does.”
