Chiropractic care is based on the premise that a mechanical problem needs a mechanical correction. When the joints in the spine or extremities are exposed to trauma (this includes large traumas like a car accident or small repetitive traumas, like working at a computer all day with poor posture) their ability to function is effected and when this dysfunction left unfixed may begin to effect the nerves in the spine and as a result the parts of your body that those nerves supply.
The Doctors of Chiropractic at R Tyler Johnson Chiropactic are highly skilled and qualified in performing manual hands on adjustments utilizing the Gonstead adjusting technique. We believe this highly specific and specialized technique gives our patients an advantage because it is both very safe and highly effective. In addition patients who have been adjusted in other ways in other offices notice that this technique does not use the excessive twisting and torque that many of them are uncomfortable with. It is not uncommon for new patients to tell us that they are refreshed by the specific care they receive rather than simply being laid on a table and adjusted without any assessment.
